Make a Header with your Future Microsoft Word Document.

I enjoy working together with Microsoft Word. There is so much functionality that you will get your Word documents to appear pretty much anyway that you want. Take for instance the capability to put in a header section to your Word document.WPS Office

The header section is the most effective part of your document. It's the section which will appear at the very top of every page within the Word document that you're working on. If you were working on a Word document that is let's say over 100 pages long and you wished to let people know, who're reading your word document, which page they are on, you are able to place an automatically incrementing page number in your header section.

Along with page numbers you may also put text into your header section like a document title. You can also put dates inside as well as pictures or graphics files. Another good usage of the header section might be to have your company's logo appear on every page. There is an endless variety of uses for the header section in a Microsoft Word document. This is how you could add a header section.Free Download WPS Office

At the top of the Word program you will dsicover your menu items. Go through the main menu item labeled "View" ;.Under that a sub menu will appear. You will dsicover an alternative labeled "Header/Footer" ;.Click on that sub menu option. You will notice how your document will gray out everything else on the page except the box where the cursor is flashing. In the box that is now on the screen, type in your header information. You may also notice that the header/footer toolbar is also displayed. On that toolbar there are numerous options you could add to your header section. You uses that toolbar to incorporate page numbers, dates, files, graphics and so on.

Once you have the header finished you are able to click the "close" button on the header/footer toolbar. You will now notice that the header section is grayed out and the remainder of your document has become enabled. Any typing that you do now will not affect your header.

If there comes an occasion when you wish to edit your header section you are able to follow the steps described above or you are able to double click the header information together with your mouse. Given that you really have a header in your document the double click process works, where as when you did not have a header yet, therefore double clicking in the area where the header would go is going to do absolutely nothing.
